Festiwal Kultura dla Tolerancji

Festiwal Kultura dla Tolerancji V edition logo

Culture for tolerance festival is a yearly fiesta aimed at popularization and promotion of all artistic and intellectual activities of the LGBT people.

Poland isn't exactly world's most tolerant country, so the overall tone of the festival's ephemera had to be subtle enough not to offend anyone, yet visually arresting (all in all, it's a festival).

The prior festival was accompanied by enormous amount of hostility from nationalist groups. One of many manifestations of their rage was a symbol incorporating stop pedaling sign (Pedal is the pejorative term for gay).

If you can't beat them – join them became the ironical advice behind the concept. The stylized image of two XIX century cyclists (Krakow is a conservative city:) came out as a leitmotif for all promotional materials.
